Four-body, "bassine et filets", engine-turned, gold hinged cuvette. Silver, champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, center and edge engine-turned. Gold "lozenge" hands. 53,3 mm, gilt three-quarter plate, 4 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance with flat balance spring, repeating and striking works set on the back plate, two levers protruding from under the cuvette: one to change from grande to petite sonnerie, the second for striking/silence, repeating and strikig on two gongs, repeating activation by tripping the button in the pendant.Signed on the cuvette, the number repeated on the movement and inside back cover.Diam. 62 mm. Notes During the first part of the 19th century, Vacheron Constantin specialized in flat watches and quarter-repeating watches. It is extremely rare to find watches as complicated as this one, and with visible works, from the period.
