Outer: double body, silver engraved with star of David on one side and flower encircled withion repeated pattern frame on the other, 2nd: two-body, covered with tortoise-shell, 3rd: double body, silver, polished with repeated pattern on edges, inner: bassine, polished. White enamel with early, original Arabic numerals. Blued steel "beetle and poker" hands. 35,7mm, gilt brass full plate with pierced Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flatbalance-spring and English gilt brass cock.Signed on the dial and the back plate.Diam. 72 mm. Notes Watches for the Islamic market changed very little in style and characteristics over several generations. This watch, of the same form and with the same movement as pieces from the end of the 18th century, was actually made a century later and bears the hallmark 1873.
