Notes Ref. 5035On March 1, 1996 Patek Philippe obtained Swiss Patent No. 685585 G for a completely new date mechanism: an annual calendar for a wristwatch with automatic winding. This ingenious mechanism is programmed to take account of the varying lengths of each month from March 1st to the end of February in the following year.This is the first automatic wristwatch in which the calendar needs to be adjusted only once a year.
