Hugo Rabaey (Flemish/ Dutch, b. 1948). "Man and Woman" - 1977, gilt bronze, impressed signature, monogram, and date to verso of female. Very heavy pair of gilt bronze Bauhaus tabletop figural sculptures depicting a male and female of stylized, almost cubist form with one arm extended upward and abruptly truncated below the elbow and face turned to side, the figural forms transected at hip with the form continuing down as a half columnar support. Male approximately 11.25" tall, 4.75" wide, 1.625" depth. Female approximately 12.125" tall, 3.375" wide, 2" deep.
