Brass bowl and gimbaled suspension. Silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down scale. Gold "spade" hands. Gilt brass full plate with baluster pillars secured by screws, 13 jewels, fusee with chain and maintaining power, spring detent escapement, two-arm Guillaume anibal-brass balance with cylindrical weights and two meanime adjusting nuts, free sprung helical balance spring with terminal curves, diamond endstone.Signed on dial, movement and box.Dim. Bowl 113 mm., box 190 x 190 x 190 mm. Notes The Ulysse Nardin firm was one of the first to use Guillaume balances, winning numerous Observatory competitions with them.
