Henri Barbezat-Bôle, Locle, traded as Paul Buhre, Le Locle, circa 1935. Very fine and unusual 18K gold, keyless minute-repeating watch with automaton striking Jacks. our-body, "bassine", polished, gold hinged cuvette over gold bezel glazed for viewing the movement. Small, translucent rose enamel over sunburst engine-turning, set in the center with Arabic numerals and outer gold paillon minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. The whole set on a painted on enamel harvest scene fitted with painted on enamel Jacks representing two ladies, one with a horn of plenty, the other with a flower basket, who strike the hours, quarters, and minutes. Notes Henri Barbezat-Bôle (1851-1921)Was a maker of complicated ebauches. After his death the company was run by his son. Around 1930 they took over the Paul Buhre Company.
