Central Switzerland, circa 1740. Fine and rare iron small single-hand wall clock. Rectangular iron box with hinged side panels, hook at the top, steady spokes at the bottom. Painted on iron plate, Roman numerals on off-white base, half-hour divisions, painted in red arch and corners. Single brass fleur-de-lis hand. Steel frame, weight and cord driven with counterweight, verge escapement with pendulum running in front, round bob, steel rod. Dim. 11 x 18 cm
