Truitte & Mourier à Genève, circa 1782. 2. Very fine 22K varicolored gold, quarter-repeating à toc and à tact watch. Double-body, "Louis XV", the bezel chased with floral decoration, the back chased with ruins in a landscape in three-colored gold. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold "Louis XV" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel endpiece. Repeating on a bell with optional dumb repeating lever and à tact thumb-piec.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 43 mm. Notes Truitte et Mourier also Trouitte, Trouit Made watches with and without repetition. The first association, called "Dan Trouit Mourier", lasted from 1775 to approximately 1780.
