Unsigned, Geneva, No. 3115 made for the Chinese market circa 1840. Very fine 18K gold and painted on enamel, pearl-set pendant watch. Four-body, "Empire", spring-loaded back finely painted on enamel with a flower bouquet on green background, half pearl-set bezels, pendant and bow, gold hinged glazed cuvette. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes Bar movements with lateral lever escapements are rare in Chinese watches. This one shows characteristics of the Leschot caliber.
