Produced circa 1935.Fine, rare and interesting, rectangular curved, early self-winding, 14K white gold-filled gentleman's wristwatch with a swinging pendulum. two-body, polished, hinged case back, engraved band, bezel and lugs. off-white with painted stylized Arabic numerals. "Index" blued steel hands. Notes The automatic winding mechanism works on a pendulum principle, the swinging weight being attached to a form movement, oscillating back and forth following the wrist movements. The energy is transmitted by an intermediate wheel to the ratchet wheel, winding the mainspring. The crown is only for setting the hands to the correct time.The movement was produced by the Frey company in Biel/Switzerland and reserved for the Self-winding Watch Company.
