Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 318655, case No. 191440, circa 1890. Extremely fine 18K gold and enamel keyless fob watch accompanied by matching chain. Five-body, “bassine”, covers finely chased and engraved with a single flower on a multi-colored enamel ground, the borders, band and bezel chased in a scroll and floral pattern, gold hinged cuvette, chain formed of long cylindrical gold panels with translucent enamel over engine-turning, and joined by gold links. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold “spade” hands.
