Exceptional and extremely rare, made in only a few examples, patented electronic clock controlling and recording multiple impulses with a search device. Electronic tower of seven segments, the three top ones for the clock and controlling functions, the four lower ones (made by Kreutler) for recording. Signed on each of the three controlling units both on front and back, recording units signed by Kreutler. Dim. Height 210 cm, width 55 cm. Notes This system was made in just a few examples. This one was sold to Euratom for 90,000 DM, a very large sum at the time. The system, based on quartz impulses, not only shows time, but also records impulses with remarkable precision, such as the duration of telephone calls, etc. It can handle up to 16 impulses at any given time. The system was registered under the Patek Philippe name as one of the first patents in the field of precision measurements of start/finish. This is a field that horological manufacturers pursue actively, for timing sports events, among other things. This is the first ZE 4/4 model ever to be offered at auction.
