Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 867848, case No. 663038, Ref. 1436. Production of this reference started in 1938. This watch was made in 1950 and sold on July 25, 1951. Unique and extremely fine 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with square button split-seconds chronograph, register and tachometer with special dial. Accompanied by an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle and the Extract from the Archives. three-body, solid, polished, concave lugs, engraved case back. matte silver with painted Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds and 30 minutes register dials, outer tachometer graduation. "Bâton" blued steel hands. Notes To our knowledge this watch is probably unique due to the placement of the tachometer scale on the inside of the outer ring, and not on the outside as is usually the case. In addition, the numerals of this scale are horizontally oriented as opposed to a more usual radial orientation. This particularity makes this watch especially collectible. The present watch was sold by Antiquorum on March 31, 2001, lot 584. It was recently overhauled by Patek Philippe and is in perfect condition.
