Fine and very rare mahogany and burelm, eight day going quarter- striking and quarter-repeating carriage clock with alarm. rectangular, veneered with slightly extended base, panels of burr elm, edges of mahogany, back panel sliding vertically to reveal the movement, gilt brass bezel with a star pattern, gilt button for repeating on the top panel, gilt brass bun conical feet. silvered, champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute dot divisions, center and outermost engine-turned. Blued steel Breguet hands. Rectangular, 98 x 75 mm, brass, going barrels,platform with lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, rack striking on a gong, alarm with its own gong, back fitted with winding and setting arbors and striking/silent lever.Signed and numbered on dial and movement.Dim. 18.5 x 13.2 cm.
