Rectangular, engine-turned with straight-line pattern bordered with white enamel, white enamel bezel, agate base. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic markers. Diamond-set hands. By Nocturne, rectangular, 53 x 36 mm, frosted gilt, going barrel, platform with straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by depressing the push-piece at the top.Signed on the movement, retailer on the dial.Dim. Height 74 mm, base width 63 mm. Notes Both the case and the movement of the watch were designed and made in the Cartier manner. Even the engine-turning and the white border are identical. The movement is made to the patented design of E. Mathey-Tissot of Ponts-de-Martel and was executed by octurne Co., who supplied the same movements to Cartier and others.s.
