Giles, Wales & Co. , Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 9490. Produced circa 1850. Fine and rare, hunting-cased, double-train, independent dead-seconds, 18K yellow gold watch with quarter-seconds foudroyante. Four-body,"bassine et filets", solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, outermost seconds division, subsidiary "diablotine" flying quarter seconds at 6. Blued steel “Breguet” hands.
