Hanhart. Manufactured for the German Forces, the Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe, circa 1943. Fine, water-resistant, nickel/silver-plated brass military wristwatch with retour en vol, round button chronograph and register, and polished steel case-back. two-body, polished, sand-finished, stainless steel screwed-down case back, large winding-crown. black with radium-coated Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and 30 minutes register dials. Radium-coated "Skeleton" hands. Notes After the single button chronograph version, Hanhart produced this round button wristwatch which was adopted by the German Forces, and specially by the Kriegsmarine. The pilots would rather not mark it unless they had to. This example is naturally equipped with the "retour en vol" function. The winding-crown is of a large size to facilitate the pilot to wind-up the watch with his gloves on.
