Notes The watches produced in Geneva for the Oriental market were often sold by agents; therefore they were rarely signed by the watchmaker. This watch presents all the characteristics of the work done by the prestigious Jaquet Droz firm for the Chinese market: the "Consular" type case decorated with a romantic pastoral scene, much in vogue during the Qien Long period, the iconography of the dial with its gold skeletonized hands so typical of Jaquet Droz, the fully engraved movement which was greatly appreciated by the Chinese, and the center-seconds with a stop-watch feature.
