Family Scene Attributed to Bovet, Fleurier, made for the Chinese market, circa 1830. Very fine and extremely rare 18K gold and painted on enamel center-seconds watch with special gold and blued-steel movement. Three-body, "Lepine", back painted on enamel with a scene depicting a lady and her two daughters sitting behind the house, champlevé enamel bezels, and pendant, gilt spring-loaded cuvette hinged to the movement ring. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions with fifteen-minute Arabic markers. Blued steel "lozenge" hands. 49 mm (22’’’), "Chinese" caliber with blued steel bridges and standing barrel against solid pink gold plate fixed to the brass pillar plate, duplex escapement, uncut bimetallic balance with sliding weights, flat balance spring, diamond endstone. Diam. 57 mm.
