Two-body, "Empire", glazed on both sides, back: champlevé enamel on gold depicting a country church, a well, two courting swans in the foreground, diamond-set foliage, and a dog drinking from an animated spring, polished band. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, two apertures for winding and regulating. Gold "crescent" hands. 45 mm (20’’’), frosted gilt, full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement 3-arm gilt brass balance with flat balance spring, simple double-footed cock, animation driven from the contrate wheel.
