Patek, Philippe & Cie. , Genève, No. 874208, made for the Italian market, circa 1980. Very fine and extremely rare gilt bronze, solar-powered electric desk clock with perpetual calendar. Accompanied by the original fitted box. Rectangular, with brushed brass side and back panels, four square en suite columns, the top with solar cells. Silvered with painted black indexes, apertures for days of the week, date and months in Italian. Gilt "baton" hands. Notes To our knowledge this is the only solar-powered Patek Philippe clock with perpetual calendar to have appeared at auction.
