Fine gilt brass and lapis lazuli eight-day going astronomical hour and half-hour striking calendar clock with alarm, hour-repeating, and phases of the moon in original leather fitted box. Accompanied by certificate of origin and manual. Rectangular, shaped gilt base, lapis-lazuli columns, shaped top with lapis-lazuli cornice, lapis lazuli hingedhandle. White painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute dot divisions, aperture for phases of the moonabove 6 o’clock, below days of the week, alarm, date. Rectangular, gilt brass, back plate fully engraved inscrolling, going barrels, platform with straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with self-compen-satingflat balance spring, striking, repeating and alarm on a large coiled gong, repeating by depressing the push-buttonin the front of the case. Movement signed Norman, dial signed La Vallée.Dim. height 185 mm (without handle).
