France, circa 1900, made for the Chinese market. Fine gilt brass and enamel eight-day going, hour and half-hour striking carriage clock with hour repeating. Rectangular, side panels, columns, sides and top in cloisonné enamel with birds, floral pattern and scrolling,hinged back door, hinged handle. Off-white enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions.Blued steel "spade" hands. Rectangular, brass, double going barrels, platform with calibrated lateral leverescapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance, flat balance spring, repeating by push button at the top.Dim. 16 x 10 x 9 cm.
