Isaac Roberts, London, No. 1609, circa 1770. Very fine 22K gold-mounted agate watch. Two-body, back and bezel curved from a single piece of smoked agate mounted in 22K gold, agate-set thumb-piece. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 3. Gold "Spade" hands. 33 mm, hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brassbalance with flat balance spring, single-footed cock.Signed on the movement.Diam. 44 mm.
