The John B. Stetson, Jr Breguet No. 1723. Sold on April 30, 1929, to John B. Stetson, Jr. Very fine and rare, thin, Art Deco 18K white gold keyless dress watch with split-seconds chronograph, instantaneous 60-minute register and double tachometer scale for 1000 meters. Three-body, satiné and polished, snap-on back with initials "J.B.S.Jr.". Silvered, Breguet numerals, outer minute/second track with Arabic five minute/seconds, outermost double tachometer scale with 1000 meter base, minute register at 12, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. Notes John Batterson Stetson, Jr. (1884-1952) Born in Pennsylvania, he served as the U.S. Minister to Poland from 1925 to 1929. He is buried in Arlington National cemetery.
