Mobilis No. 104252 (Paul Loichot, Charquemont, France), Brevet No. 30754, circa 1908. Fine blued steel keyless watch with Mobilis tourbillon regulator. Three-body, demi-bassine, polished. Eccentric, matte gilt with Roman numerals, engine-turned gilt reserve, the revolving tourbillon carriage with blued steel seconds pointer visible in an aperture with seconds track. Notes A similar watch is described and illustrated in R. Meis, “Le Tourbillon”, page 310. Early in the last century, Paul Loichot invented an interesting tourbillon design (Swiss patent No. 30754 of 1905). He inverted the movement, allowing the carriage to be seen through the dial and placed the escapement in a straight line with the lever having an opening for the carriage arbor.
