Caron, A Paris, No. 755, circa 1750. Very fine 18K and painted on enamel watch. Two-body, Louis XV, probably by master casemaker Jacques de La Feuille, back painted on enamel with roses in relief against translucent imperial blue enamel over crosshatch flinqué, gold stems and leaves, bezel decorated en suite in blue enamel. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, winding aperture between 3 and 4 o’clock. Gold “Louis XV” hands. 38 mm, gilt brass full-plate with pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, micrometrical potence adjustment, continental cock.Signed on the movement, pendant punched with Paris guarantee marks.Diam. 46 mm.
