Maurice Ditisheim, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 10635, enamel attributed to P.-Amédée Champod, circa 1895. Very fine 18K gold and painted on enamel, pearl-set, hunting-cased keyless minute-repeating watch. Six-body, “bassine et filets”, back painted on enamel with a lady and her suitor sitting under a tree in the countryside, back painted with a portrait of a lady, pearl-set bezels, band in champlevé enamel, gold hinged cuvette over glazed gold bezel for viewing the movement. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, outermost seconds track divided into fifths with radial Arabic beat counts, subsidiary sunk seconds. Gold “Louis XV” hands. 44 mm (20’’’), frosted gilt, 30 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, “swan-neck” micrometric regulator, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band.Case punched with maker’s trademark registered on April 4, 1892.Diam. 56 mm.
