Rolex, "Sporting Prince Chronometer", Ref. 1883/1599. Produced in 1932. Very fine and extremely rare, rectangular curved, 18K yellow gold and stainless steel hunting-cased gentleman's wristwatch. Four-body, two-tone, "guilloché" cover with plain medallion opening/closing by sliding it forwards and backwards (patented system), stainless steel movement body, yellow gold outer body, wire lugs. Three-tone silver with geometrical designs, stylized painted Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "bâton" hands. Notes The case of this watch was designed by Hans Wilsdorf himself, and patented in Switzerland on December 26, 1929.
