Chinese, first half 20th century. A pair of cloisonne over copper mirrored figural horse sculptures, each depicting a horse resting low on back legs with one front leg lifted displaying hoof, the form with blue cloisonne ground decorated with fields of brightly colored enamel work dragons, foliage, flower blossoms, birds, and a mask to the horse's chest, the saddle, mane, and hanging scarab at chest being moveable, and the horse's tail resembling an elephant's head with upturned trunk. Apparently unmarked. Approximately 16" tall, 16.25" wide, 5.25" deep. Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
