Euterpe Swiss, circa 1825. Fine gilt bronze, 8-day going, quarter striking table clock. The figure of a Muse, probably Euterpe, the muse of music, recliningalongside a flower basket, with a harp at her feet, an amphora behind, giltbrass pedestal with applied figure of Cupid and scrolling, surbase raised bybracket feet. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions,winding apertures, engine-turned center. Blued steel hands. Circular,brass, going barrels, anchor escapement, short pendulum, silk suspension,rack striking on two bells by two hammers.Dim. Height 33 mm, width 26 mm.
