So-called "Paul Newman" Rolex Cosmograph "Daytona", Ref. 6239. Produced in the 1960s, retailed by Cartier. Very fine and extremely rare, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, steel bezel with tachometer and a stainless steel Oyster bracelet. Recently serviced by Cartier. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, tachometer graduation on the bezel to 300 units per hour. Bicolored, black and matte silver with applied black tritium-coated indexes, "guilloché" subsidiary seconds, 12-hour and 30-minuteregister dials, outer red painted 1/5th second scale. Tritium-coated steel "Bâton" hands. Cal. 722, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straightline lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 3 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring.Dial, case, and movement signed.Diam. 36 mm.
