Chinese, mid 20th century. A heavy bronze lidded urn with incised archaic decoration on tondo to body and lid, the body with a band of masks to incurvate base surmounted by a band of stylized dragons set into a field of meandering key pattern, the bulbous shoulder with stylized two headed dragons having body formed of meandering key, the animals set within a field of spiral scrolls, the urn body with oxen head handles to opposite sides of shoulder, the domed lid with similar decoration and surmounted by a figural final depicting a resting ox. Marked to underside with unknown mark, possibly for Kangxi Period. Approximately 13.75" tall, 12.25" wide across handles. Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
