Exceptional and very rare large 18K gold, keyless, Louis XV-style, minute-repeating watch with chronograph and instantaneous 60-minute register. Four-body, “Louis XV”, back chase with a scene depicting ancient warriors storming a palace, rocaille borders, band, and front bezel, chased bow. White convex enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions,outermost chronograph track divided into fifths, sunk minute register at 12, subsidiary sunk seconds at 6. Gold “Louis XV” hands. Notes It is very unusual to find such a large watch from the period, and in the baroque style.
