Very fine and impressive 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless, astronomical double-face pocket watch with calendar and phases of the moon. Five-body, heavy, “bassine et filets”, both covers elaborately engraved with dragons, floral and foliate pattern, band engraved withrepeated pattern, special device that allows one to open only the top cover with the same pushpiece. Silver, radial Roman numer-als, subsidiary seconds, center and outermost with applied varicolored gold matte floral motifs. Blued steel pierced hands. ReversEsil-ver, two subsidiary dials for days of the week and months, phases of the moon aperture at 12, outermost Arabic date scale.
