Henry Capt, Geneva, No. 10145, circa 1910. Very fine and very rare 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless, double-train pocket watch with independent dead seconds and chronograph. Five-body, “bassine”, polished, gold hinged cuvette, pushbutton at 11 for independent seconds, at 1 for the chronograph. Silvered and matted, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, outermost dead-seconds track with five-minute Arabic markers. Gold “spade” hands. Notes The watch incorporates two functions: independent dead-seconds and dead-seconds chronograph with return to zero. This is achieved in an ingenious manner by installing a friction-fit wheel concentric with the dead-seconds wheel.
