So-called "Paul Newman" Rolex Oyster Cosmograph Daytona, Ref. 6263/6265, with gold bezel. Produced in the 1970s. Very fine and rare, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer and an 18K yellow gold Oyster bracelet. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screw-down case back, buttons and crown, tachometer graduation on the gold bezel to 200 units per hour. Bicolor black and satin-finish beige with applied gold tritium-coated indexes, black sunk subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outer 1/5th second scale. Tritium-coated gold "Bâton" hands. Notes 6263/6265 Produced from 1961 to 1988, the first model with screw-down pushers produced around 1970 as follows: 18K yellow gold, 14K yellow gold or stainless steel with gold, steel or black enameled bezel.
