Extremely fine and rare, astronomic, center-seconds, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Two-body, solid, solid, polished, screwed-down case back with dedication, concave bezel, fluted lugs. Matte silver with applied yellow gold indexes, auxiliary dial for the date, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the moon phases. Yellow gold "dauphine" hands. 27-SC Q, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, shock-absorber, Breguet balance-spring, micrometer regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 37 mm. Notes The present watch was sold by Antiquorum in Basel in 1990. Ref. 2497 and 2438-1 Ref. 2497 started in 1951 and 2438-1 started in 1952: From 1952 to 1963, only 179 examples of these models were produced, the majority in yellow gold, very few in pink and in white gold and only one in platinum is known to date; the Ref. 2438-1 with screwed back has also been produced in very small quantities.
