Piguet & Meylan, No. 9349, circa 1820. Very fine 18K gold and enamel pearl-set, quarter repeating musical centre second watch. Four body, Empire, with split-pearl set bezels, the band, pendant and bow with red and blue split-pearl inlaid champleve enamelled decoration. Hinged gold and enamel cuvette with champleve enamelled floral decoration. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minute and second ring; blued steel "scoties" hands. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Gilt brass double train fully engraved with free standing barrels, inverted cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, fiat balance spring with regulator. Musical train with pinned disc and double musical comb of 11 individual teeth each, released by means of a bolt in the band. Piguet & Meylan Master mark punched on the front plate beneath the dial.
