Longines, circa 1920. Fine and extremely rare 18K gold, hunting cased, keyless minute repeating watch with "Carillon Westminster" chime. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine " , polished, the cover engraved with initials: "R.G.P.". Hinged gold cuvette, decorated with medals awarded in different exhibitions. White enamel with Breguet numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands. Notes Minute repeating watches with Carillon Westminster are very rare. They were the speciality of Edouard JeanRichard in Le Lode. An identical watch signed by Bernard Janneret Jean-Guy, in the Musee International d'Horlogerie in La Chaux-cle-Fonds, is illustrated in A. Chapuis: Cnands Artisans de la Clovnonzetne, pages 227, f f. 161-162.
