Gaugron a Paris, circa 1690. Fine gilt brass Louis XIV "oignon" with central winding and enamel cock. Double body "oignon", engraved with interlaced decoration and birds, the back with a glazed cock aperture. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, short flat balance spring, rack and pinion regulator, the cock wit a fine later enamel panel painted with the portrait of a maiden. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 59 mm.
