Breguet No. 2422, sold to Madame Veuve Sauvage on 14 December 1853, for 1200 Francs. Fine 18K gold, quarter repeating dead independent centre seconds watch in original fitted box. White enamel with Roman numerals and the motto: Timor domini, indium sapientioe. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes Note: Breguet watches with a motto on the dial are extremely rare, even more so when the cuvette was engraved at the request of the client.
