Unsigned (Geneva), circa 1800. Extremely fine 18K gold and enamel pearl and diamond set watch, quarter repeating on built-in bells. Double body Directoire with pearl set bezels, the back of blue translucent enamel over engine-turning with inlaid bunch of split-pearl flowers in a rosediamond inlaid basket. Matching gold and enamel pearl set and rose-diamond inlaid chatelaine. White enamel with Arabic numerals. Gold Breguet hands. Hinged gilt brass, special calibre with builtin bells, the train of wheel with going barrel set on their border, cylinder escapement, flat balance spring with regulator. Repeating on two bells. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm. Notes This watch can be attributed to Chevalier et Cochet, in Geneva who were specialised in repeating watches with built-in bells movement .
