Retouret, Fabricant, Paris et Geneve, France, circa 1890. Very fine and oval gilt bronze quarter striking and repeating carriage clock with calendar and alarm. Gilt bronze, "oval", glazed on four faces and the top engraved with a crowned monogram. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, subsidiary dials for alarm setting and date. Blued-steel Breguet hands. Brass, eight-day with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, platform with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued-steel Breguet balance spring. Striking repeating and alarm on two bells with button on the top. In very good condition. Dim. 14 x 12 x 10 cm., excluding the handle.
