Unsigned, Swiss, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1840. Fine 18K gold and enamel, centre seconds watch. Three body bezels pendant and bow, the band with red black and blue champleve enamelled decoration, the back panel with a champleve enamel painted floral decoration on a black ground, as an imitation of cloisonne work. Hinged glazed gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. Gilt brass, "Chinese " calibre fully engraved with a foliage decoration, free standing barrel, lateral lever escapement, steel two-arm balance with screws, flat balance spring and regulator. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
