Extremely fine demonstration constant-force escapement and 8-second tourbillon regulator after Achile Benoit mounted on a Ulysse Nardin marine chronometer movement No. 6683. Square moulded base with hinged glass top. Gilt brass three-quarter plate, engraved with the dedication: Creation James C. Pellaton, Dr h. c., Le Lode, Swiss, No. J. C.P/3, Pour son anti Ernest Liniger 1949. Fusee with chain and maintaining power, constant force escapement with the gold escape wheel mounted on the balance staff beneath the helical balance spring with terminal curve, lateral lever on the side with jewelled pallets; the Guillaume integral compensation balance revolves in eight seconds with the escape wheel, the impulse being given by traction on the balance spring.
