Unsigned, Swiss, circa 1820. Very fine Neuchatel repeating bracket clock with calendar and matching bracket. Shaped black-painted wood with gilt flower and foliate decoration, glazed door, gilt frame to the door and dial, curved gilt feet made in one piece with the beading to the base of the clock. D White enamel, concentric rings of Arabic minutes, Roman hour and Arabic calendar numerals; pierced, chased gilt brass hour and minute hands , blued steel arrow form calendar hand. Brass, rectangular plated, two train, going barrels to both trains, typical Neuchatel rack striking work on the back plate. Verge escapemlent, flat bob pendulum with silk thread suspension, striking on two bells by four hammers, pull cord repetition. In very good condition Dim. 93 x 40 x 16 cm.
