Le Plat a Paris, circa 1760. Very fine green horn veneered hour and half-hour striking eight day going cartel with matching bracket. Shaped green horn veneered, inlaid with brass engraved flowers and applied with gilt bronze floral and rocaille decoration, a vase of flowers at the top and matching bracket. White enamel 13-piece with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute chapters. Gilt brass Louis XV hands. Brass rectangular with turned pillars, going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, verge escapement, short pendulum with silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the dial and back plate. In good condition, the cabinet in need of restoration. Dim. 97 x 38 x 20 cm.
