English, circa 1780. Fine and very rare 20K gold and enamel, diamond-set miniature ring watch. Double body with rose-cut diamond-set bezel and shoulders, the band with blue champleve flinque foliage decoration. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, oval gilt brass cock with agate end-stone. Diam. 18 mm. Notes Gold and enamel, diamond-set ring-watches from the 18th century are very rare, even more so in such small dimension.
