Unsigned, Swiss, circa 1860. Fine 18K gold, quarter repeating watch with dead independent centre seconds. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", engineturned with reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minute and seconds ring. Blued steel "fleurs-de-lys " hands. Frosted and gilt, double train with going barrels, 40 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Independent seconds with a flirt on the escape pinion and bolt in the band. Quarter repeating on gongs with slide in the band. In very good condition. Diam. 51 mm.
